GT RISE

Welcome to GT RISE FLO! This organization aims to bridge the gap created by gender inequality by promoting and employing feminist leadership ideas.

This year, with the hopes of celebrating minority populations in STEAM and ultimately increasing awareness among high-schoolers in the Atlanta area, they want to spotlight individuals who are following their dreams, and working on exciting and inspiring projects. According to the NSF, in 2018, minorities earned only 24% of the bachelor degrees that were given that year.

Their project aims to increase this number by sharing stories of minority STEAM students, thus helping high-schoolers see themselves represented and the abundant opportunities the STEM field has to offer. They plan to share a video highlighting several diverse individuals with high schools around Atlanta and the GT admissions department. They would greatly appreciate you sharing the word to the members of your organization, so that they can take part in spreading the word about STEAM and its opportunities to the wider community in Atlanta!

If you are interested in the organization, feel free to check out the link tree here, or if you are minority STEAM student hoping for your accomplishments to be highlighted, fill out this form here.
